FALL BEERS ARE COMING

With the summer behind us and plenty of events, new beers, and crisp days ahead of us, now is the perfect time to add to our What’s Up at SoMe blog. We have the Charity Golf Outing to look forward to on the 22nd (get those forms in!) and we will continue to have Food Trucks scheduled every day York Beach in addition to live music on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

As always, you’ll find at the end what we have coming your way this month for new and returning beers, including a very special announcement about Big Whoop 2021!

SEPTEMBER 22 – 3RD ANNUAL SOME BREWING COMPANY CHARITY GOLF OUTING at Cape Neddick Country Club – 9:00am start

Make sure you get those forms in! Registration closes on the 15th. For more information and a printable version of the sign up sheet, vist the charity golf outing post.

ROLLIN’ PIZZA CO.

So we started a pizza company… I’m sure many of you have noticed that Rollin’ Pizza Co. is on the schedule quite a bit at YBBC, so if you weren’t aware before, we’d like to formally introduce the latest addition to the SoMe family, Rollin’ Pizza Co.! Special shoutout to Tyler for heading off this project that’s proven to be a huge hit down at York Beach. If you haven’t had a chance to try the pizzas, bread bites or pretzels yet, you’ll have plenty of opportunities as they’re on the schedule quite a bit this moth. I highly recommend the Margherita Pizza and Cinnamon Bread Bites.

Give us a follow on Facebook, or visit the Trucks and Tunes page on the York Beach website to find a day to try it out.

NEW HOURS AT YBBC

SOMETOBERFEST

The 4th annual SoMetoberfest is on the schedule! It’s never too early to look ahead to October, so mark your calendars for Sunday, October 10th. This year’s event is open to all, no tickets required (may be subject to change due to any change in Maine Covid Policies). Join us from 12-6pm for Marzen and Helles, live music and games! More details to follow.

NEW AND RETURNING BEERS

Whoopie A.F. – Barrel Aged Milk Stout: We loved the way this turned out last year, so we were pretty happy to re-release this one this past weekend. Our base Whoopie Pie Stout aged in Brandy barrels with local Anthony’s coffee added… this beer is Maine A.F. Learn More

Double Nubble – Imperial Fruited Berliner Weiss: We took our base Nubble Weiss, cranked it up to 8%, double the raspberry puree and added lactose. For those sour fans out there, you don’t want to miss this one.

Helles – Helles Lager: Our pale Helles lager makes its annual fall return. Crispy and delicious, Helles is the perfect patio beer. Learn More

Marzen – Oktoberfest Marzen Lager: If you’re like me, then Oktoberfest beers are truly something special! Maltier than a lighter lager but still hoppy, crisp and refreshing. Learn More

Pumpkin Whoopie Pie – Milk Stout: In addition to our Helles and Marzen, this one’s another sure sign that fall is here! Pumpkin spice Whoopie Pie Stout… enough said. Learn More

And before you go, rest assured that Big Whoop 2021 is aging in bourbon barrels in our cellar. However, as I mentioned before in a previous social media post, there’s a special twist this year. In addition to our regular Big Whoop, we’re happy to announce that we’ll be releasing a Peanut Butter Big Whoop variant this year!

Cheers – Liam
